The FBI recently executed a search warrant on Representative Andy Ogles, R-Tenn., mere weeks after he spearheaded impeachment efforts against Vice President Kamala Harris. The agency seized his phone as part of an ongoing investigation into his campaign finances. This action follows a complaint filed by the Campaign Legal Center in January, which accused Ogles of failing to disclose assets used to personally loan $320,000 to his campaign committee.

He continued, “It is my understanding that they are investigating the same well-known facts surrounding these filings. I will of course fully cooperate with them, just as I have with the Federal Election Commission. I am confident all involved will conclude that the reporting discrepancies were based on honest mistakes, and nothing more.” The FBI and the Justice Department have declined to comment on the matter.
Ogles’ Impeachment Crusade
Ogles is fervently pursuing the impeachment of Harris, accusing her of failing to secure the U.S. border during her tenure as “border czar” and misleading the public about President Joe Biden’s health. When he introduced the articles of impeachment, he stated, “Time and again, Kamala Harris has refused to uphold her oath to the U.S. Constitution, and she must be impeached. Her breathtaking incompetence as Border Czar has allowed a crisis of drugs, rape, and murder to flood the streets of America.”
Furthermore, Ogles charged Harris with breaching public trust by not invoking the 25th Amendment, despite evidence of Biden’s alleged unfitness for office. He declared, “Immediate action must be taken.” Ogles, endorsed by former President Donald Trump, faces a Republican primary in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District on August 1, 2024. Notably, this isn’t his first attempt; he previously introduced impeachment articles against both Biden and Harris last year.
